Convertible top is in very good condition with no stains and a very good condition window, with typical wear on the headliner. Chrome bumpers look to be slightly older re-chromes, and are in very good condition. Exterior door handles are in good condition with no apparent pitting. Weatherstripping looks to be somewhat recent, and is in very good condition. Stainless trim is in good to very good condition, looking to have been polished not too long ago. Steel wheels look to be in good to very good condition with no apparent rust, and correct hubcaps look to be recent and are in very good condition. Tires are BF Goodrich Silvertown wide whitewall bias-ply's, looking to be nearly new with an average of 11/32nds tread depth remaining. The interior of this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible shows recent seat covers, door panels, and carpet, all in very good to excellent condition. Steering wheel is in good to very good condition. The numbers matching engine in this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air shows assembly date May 10, 1957. Correct intake manifold is in place, along a correct era Rochester 4bbl carburetor and oil bath air cleaner. Frame is solid, rust-free, and nicely detailed, and the electrical system has been converted to reliable 12V. This car has been fully serviced, and all instrument gauges, lights, turn signals, brakes, engine, transmission and rear-end are all in good operating condition. Engine Block casting number is the correct 3731548 with the correct stamp F1123FG signifying the right suffix for a 283/245 automatic application. This is car #2747/6339 produced probably late February, early March 1957.
As mentioned, it has only 36K miles and had one owner since new. It is very original with the exception of a paint job done in 1977 in the original style and color scheme. Everything else is original including the interior and the Beige soft top. After a ten year sleep (read, storage), it was recently brought back to life and endowed with new tires, new tank, fuel pump, tune-up and now it performs as it should. Car was shown regularly at Corvette gatherings and is now ready for a new home.
This is a great choice for a private collection due its unique history, engine and transmission combo, originality, condition, options, etc.

This is a stunning and matching numbers example of the True Classic “57” Vette. Number 1501. It has been maintained with originality as a prime concern. The Motor is the 283/270 dual quad, solid lifter Motor (F1219EG). It runs smooth and quiet, no leaks, drips and burns no oil. The odometer indicates 94,093 miles and this is believed to be original. It has been and is maintained to very high standards. The interior of the car is nearly flawless. The seats, carpet and dash show no wear, carpets being only 2 years old. The car is not a “trailer Queen” but is a superb driver. The owner does drive and show the car. It is in excellent condition. There are very few and very minor paint flaws as any driver would have, otherwise it is almost show quality. The chrome does show some fade but has no pits, rust or deterioration. The car is always garaged and covered and there is no rust or corrosion. The door pillars were restored to original condition. The soft top is white and in excellent condition. There is also a hard top with the car which needs restoration. It is in solid condition.
A complete list of the numbers is available. There is also an extensive list of parts replacements, mechanical repairs, history and general maintenance for the car. The owner (for the last 12 years) has maintained meticulous records as well as meticulous care of the car. Many more photos are also available. This car is located in Massachusetts.
