Assembled on July 2, 1963, this rare Split Window coupe has been very nicely body-off restored and is ready to show. Paint on this car is a slightly older but very high quality job, and is in very good condition with a brilliant shine and few flaws. Chrome bumpers are in very good to excellent condition, showing a very good shine and no pitting or other major flaws. Weatherstripping is newer and soft, and correct 1963 hubcaps are in place and have been polished to a high luster. Please note that all four hubcaps will come with the car; pictures show that the steel wheels underneath are nice and rust-free as well. A set of vintage style reproduction whitewall tires are present, and show nearly full tread. The interior of this 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe has been nicely restored as well, showing excellent condition seat covers, loop carpet, door panels, center console, and gauges. Even the clock works! Engine compartment of this car has been extremely nicely detailed, with ignition shielding in place. Correct valve covers, air cleaner, and hoses are also present. Frame is rust-free, super clean, and just as nice as the outside of the car. Please note that this car currently has a Connecticut state-issued VIN tag from 1982. The only midyear that seems to be just as desirable as the '67, the '63 Split Window Coupe is nothing short of a legend in the classic car market. Assembled on January 2, 1963, this Split Window Coupe is rumored to have been a Georgia car all its life, and has just received a body-off restoration. Paint on this car is older, but still shows a good shine. Paint code shows 912; trim code shows 490J. Original chrome bumpers are in good original condition with no rust or major dents. With the exception of the windshield, all glass on this car shows a correct date code. Exterior door handles are in very good condition; weatherstripping is in good condition. Taillights are free from cracks, and in very good condition. This car wears a set of 1963 hubcaps, which are in fair condition with normal signs of age. Radial whitewall tires are mounted, and show 6/32nds tread remaining. The interior of this 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe shows good condition leather seat covers, center console, door panels, and gauges. Carpet and steering wheel are in fair condition; dash pads are in very good condition. A Custom Auto Sound cassette stereo has been added in place of the original radio. A Hurst shifter has been added as well. Clock is working! The frame and engine compartment on this car have been extensively detailed, and are show quality. Engine shows casting number 3903352, which we believe to be a 210hp 2 bolt 327ci from a 1967 passenger car. Engine casting date is missing; assembly date corresponds to January 4. A rare vintage Edelbrock C3BX intake is present, as well as a Holley carburetor, and HEI electronic ignition. New exhaust is also present. Considering that a body-off restoration usually costs around $10,000 and consists of removing the body from the frame, complete refinishing of the frame, replacing bushings, mounts, and brake lines just to name a few things, it is remarkable that we are able to offer this Vette for such a low price. Originally assembled on May 12, 1964, this 1964 Corvette Convertible will grab anyone's attention with its absolutely STUNNING fresh paint, knockoff style wheels, and side exhaust. This car received the best quality paint job available, at a cost of nearly $20,000 (invoice included). Needless to say, this paint looks better than new. Convertible top is recent and in very good condition with a clear window, and door handles are in good original condition with no pitting or finish issues. Weatherstripping is recent and in very good condition; taillights look to have been replaced at least once, but nonetheless show some typical melting and hairline cracks. Chrome bumpers look to be recent reproductions or rechromed originals, and are in very good condition. All glass on this car shows a correct date code with the exception of the windshield, and emblems are in very good condition. Judging by the tonneau cover, this car probably came from the factory with a hardtop, although both the hardtop itself and the passenger side hold-down are missing. Nonetheless, we can provide a matching hardtop for this car for an additional $3,000. Knockoff style wheels look to be recent and are in very good condition, and wear radial raised white letter tires with an average of 9/32nds tread depth remaining. The interior of this 1964 Corvette Convertible shows good condition aftermarket seat covers and door panels, as well as a good condition center console and gauges. Carpet is older and in fair condition, as is the steering wheel. A vintage cassette stereo with no manufacturer name has replaced the original AM/FM radio. Seatbelts are newer Volvo DL style. Dash pads are in very good condition with no cracks, and a Hurst shifter has been added. The engine in this car shows casting number 3970010, and casting date October 15, 1974. Stamp pad is bare. Additions to this engine compartment include red braided hoses, red master cylinder, red hood latches, red washer bottle, chrome hood hinge, polished intake manifold, polished timing cover, polished accessory brackets and water pump pulley, large polished valve covers, Holley carburetor, older coated longtube headers, 6 inch chrome air cleaner, Mallory distributor, Accel ignition wires, and a chrome water outlet. Engine block itself wears older yellow paint. Frame is solid and rust-free. This is a great deal on a midyear with eye appeal and show quality paint, call us before it sells! 1964 Coupe Engine: 350 c.i.d., 84,000 Miles, Color: blue with black interior.
I have owned this car for 8 years and I did a frame-off restoration in 2004. I have a clear Idaho title for this car. Prior owner had car for 13 years. Frame has never had rust! Paint is older base coat/clear coat and is driver quality with some chips. Fiberglass has three areas of small cracks (both front driver wheel wells and area on hood, see photos). Original head light assemblies missing and replaced with older Eckler's headlight kit (see photos). '66 big block hood. '66 front grill insert. '66 interior door panels. Added third taillight assemblies which are now used as backup lights wired to reverse on transmission! Finned aluminum wheels. Original seats reupholstered with headrests added (for safety)! Original lap belts now replaced with a 3-point shoulder seat belt (for safety)! Interior panels and carpet in great condition. Vintage Air A/C system blows cold air for comfort! Original '64 rear air venting fan system works (blows hot air out of interior of car)! Original radio works! New fuel lines and brake lines with extra return fuel line added for a fuel injection system! New '67 dual chamber master cylinder for brakes! Still retains original drum brakes. Suspension rebuilt with the Vette Brakes and Products Suspension Plus System which has front upper and lower tubular control arms, tubular rear trailing arms, front transverse composite mono leaf spring, rear transverse composite mono leaf spring, poly bushings, heavier front sway bar (spring rate and ride height are adjustable)! New brass '65 big block radiator! New 4-bolt main 350 c.i.d. engine with Eagle forged steel crankshaft, GM Performance aluminum heads, Holley aluminum intake and Holley 670 Street Avenger carburetor (around 6,000 miles on this engine)! Pertonix electronic ignition in the original tach-drive distributor! Headers, new 2 1/2" exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers! Lakewood scatter -proof bellhousing! Centerforce dual friction clutch! Tremec TKO 600 close ratio 5-speed transmission (Keisler Engineering) with 5th gear overdrive (you can drive this car 75 mph and do only 2300 rpm)!!! Car has original Trim Tag in place but the original VIN Tag is missing and the car now has a California State DMV Vin Tag (see photos). All mechanical components of this car have approximately 6,000 miles of use since frame-off restoration in 2004! This is not a "numbers matching" collector corvette to just sit still in the garage! This is a vette that is built to drive and enjoy with many upgraded components which are often featured in magazines like "Corvette Fever" and "Vette"!
