The owner acquired this Corvette in 1985. He states it is a very original Corvette including the engine. The Vette was in need of a complete restoration and he took almost three years to do it.
The frame off restoration was completed in 2009. It looks just as fresh today due to the fact this Vette has only been driven a few hundred miles. Everything was restored – paint, interior, chrome, mechanicals, all the electrical, brakes, suspension, exhaust—EVERYTHING. A lot of money was invested in this restoration. All the numbers and codes are correct. The goal was to make this Panama Yellow Vette one of the very best in the nation. The owner says this Corvette is ready for Bloomington judging.
Lift the hood and you will see the 245HP dual four-barrel engine. It is mated to a 4-speed Muncie. The engine and transmission were rebuilt during the restoration. Look closely and note that every detail is correct for the year and engine option.
The chassis is very solid with no evidence of repair or rust damage. All the body panels are also factory original with no evidence of being in an accident.
In 1958, you did not have a very large option list. The original owner of this Corvette ordered the 245 horsepower engine, a 4-speed transmission, AM signal seeking radio, heater, and both tops.
