Celebrating multiple wins at LeMans in France and the end of a very successful fifth generation of Corvettes, Chevrolet launched a special series of only 2025 Z06s. This is car #1251 out of 2025 ever produced. They all had specific features as follows (options are present in "preferred equipment group 1SB, also dubbed RPO Z16):
- carbon fiber hood, the first of this kind used in a production vehicle by GM - saved considerable weight
- special Silver graphics and decals on hood and top
- high-polished Aluminum wheels
- special badging and embroidery
Let us all remember that all this came on top of the fantastic LS6 engine putting out 405 HP, coupled with a redesigned M12 tranny, special tuned suspension and Titanium Exhaust.
Corvette enthusiasts are appreciating that the 2004 Commemorative Edition Z06 will follow the lead of the 1996 Grand Sport and soon become a desirable addition to a Corvette collection.
